Socratica

Socratica is a weekly co-working club at the University of Waterloo that brings together builders, creative technologists, founders, and students to carve out time for their passion projects. It’s a collaborative space where people demo their work, share feedback, eat together, and find inspiration in new connections.

I co-hosted and organized sessions that gave students the time and space to focus on their passion projects. Every Sunday I managed logistics alongside my co-host: setting up our Luma event page, coordinating food and snacks, and making sure everything was ready for students to come together. We built partnerships with Velocity, Shopify, and Anthropic, and for larger events like the Kick-Off and End-of-Term Showcase, I planned venues for up to 200 attendees, balancing safety requirements with creative “sparkle” touches that made the events feel inspiring and memorable.

Beyond logistics, I led social media and design efforts: creating weekly Instagram stories, designing graphics like event menus, and photographing sessions to capture and share the atmosphere.
